CHASEing The Village was created to bridge the gap in community assistance when a loved one goes missing. It is designed to help find and protect those who have tendency to wander.
CHASEing The Village was designed and created for a friend whose son, Chase, has autism. Chase, like many individuals with autism, wanders off on occasion and help is often needed to find and return him home. Knowing that it takes a village to keep our children safe, we created CHASEing The Village.
We recognize that the wanderers are from more than just the autistic community. Loved ones of runaways and Alzheimer/dementia patients can also use this service.
The app will allow you to input all pertinent information about your loved one (height, weight, current photo, medical information and personality triggers). By setting your network of family and friends, you can alert your support team in case of an emergency to let them know that your loved one has wandered off and indicate location last seen.
But it doesnt stop there. The thing that makes CHASEing The Village better than any other location service is the expected perimeter radius that gives a good estimate of how far away (in any direction) your loved one could have traveled on foot, utilizing our patent pending positioning algorithm.
By setting your alert, you can let your network know that your loved one is missing, where they were last seen, how far they could have traveled since last seen, nearby areas of particular danger (like ponds, highways, swimming pools, etc.), and your contact information to reach you when found.
